For April’s blog, I will be showing how to make a swirly paper flower “CENTER”. Below you will find a supply list, step by step instructions, and video. This paper center will look awesome on any kind of paper flower design.
- 2 sheets of paper
- Foam ball (recommended)
- Glue gun
- Craft knife
- Measuring board (recommended)
The paper brand I am using is The Paper Studio, in pure gold metallic. Purchased at Hobby Lobby. You can use any kind of Cardstock paper.
You can use small foam balls. You do not necessarily need it but it gives it a nice even round shape. But, you can just twist the paper without the foam ball. These can be purchased at Hobby Lobby.
If you want perfect cut lines, I would recommend a craft knife. Purchased at Michaels.
Cut straight lines on the paper. Make sure to leave an inch or 2 uncut on the top and bottom of the paper. Do NOT cut all the way down. Use your ruler to make your lines nice and straight.
Once you are done cutting, add a line of glue on the uncut end of the paper. Make sure to leave approximately 2 inches free from glue at the end corner of the paper. Lastly, glue the 2 opposites sides of paper together. Do the same thing to your second sheet of paper.
Cut your foam ball in half.
